I know second-hand (from very good friends who work there) that they are absolutely militant about what gets through to the site. I am not doubting one bit that videos may have slipped through the cracks, but the company would never knowingly profit off of any of that. What you are presenting though, is a greater argument about social media, and the internet, in general. Most of these sites are mirrors of us, should they be blamed if something is uploaded, even momentarily, of something horrible (like the shooting of the mosque in new zealand for instance, or other terrible events), sure you can blame them, but they aren't fully responsible if some nut-job started streaming live and after 3 minutes of a seemingly normal video, then went on a murderous rampage. Music is easy to track through algorithms. Video is a different story which still needs to be monitored manually, unfortunately, we are getting there, but the biggest problem, is us :P
