id: 48330 - Text: exactly. i am starting therapy for the first time now, people always say to go to therapy but don't realize that not everyone is given the privilege of a good therapist, i guess. which is weird, like you chose this career... just to not be good at it, and people put up with you because they are taught that therapy is right and to just stick with it and see where it goes. idk. and i think good therapists should also be getting therapy and so on and so forth, because it's important they be healthy as well, as people just like the rest of us. anyway, i have deep rooted problems but i dont have a history of physical abuse/sexual abuse. it's mainly verbal + pressures and molds that i can't fit into, can't be myself with my family despite loving them, simply not knowing how to function on my own as a young adult and where to go in life. + depression, anxiety, and plausible ADHD. and im not sure what else can help than starting therapy, but am afraid that i am hoping for too much even though it's a start to recovery/treatment rather than doing drugs or getting kicked out of home (which im so close to, even though i've done nothing -- i guess that's the problem).

id: 48337 - Text: a lot of terrible human beings in this comment section: "she's nuts!" "she's crazy!" "she's bonkers!" she's traumatized. i see a damaged little girl stuck in a woman's body. those who have never experienced a traumatic event in their life, especially that of a violating, sexual manner, will never truly understand the extent to which it changes you, in every way. rape of the body is the rape of the spirit. you never really come back the same. you never really "heal." it's a permanent stain, no matter how much therapy you go through or medication you take. it never goes away. she's a survivor. a beautiful, intelligent, worthy survivor. i'm going to pray for her every day.

id: 48383 - Text: A job showing your bits and junk for money. Sexual Intimacy becomes a moot point because it never existed. Might as well sell it. Taking the mystery out of porn. Thanks, Mark. She a sweetheart. I wish her love.

id: 48451 - Text: I think this was her way of taking charge of her sexual experiences... she is brave

id: 48465 - Text:  @sydniandrews7128  you realize the same goes for pretty much all jobs, right? They work all the people who feel like that can’t do any better than a typical day job to the bone. You’ve been raised to feel sex is something special, not transactional, so that’s why you feel it’s different, but it’s not.

id: 48466 - Text:  @oubooa8183  I mean, that's not the worst point ever. But other jobs don't stick inanimate objects inside your most intimate parts and wear away at your sense of self, and destroy your tantric, spiritual & sexual identity. I happen to perceive sexuality and intimacy as purely spiritual health factors. Therefore I believe this is what breaks the spirit of so many young women. I know one personally that I went to high-school with and she's just so, so lost and broken now and is open about what the armature porn industry did to her emotionally, etc. I'm a nurse myself and I can't say I relate personally to the point you're making. My husband is a business owner and we certainly don't treat his employees like porn actors,, or bodies to be used. Hopefully not many people have the experience you're suggesting but I'm by no means saying this phenomenon doesn't exist, in a factory or certain minimum wage environments for example.

id: 48469 - Text:  @sydniandrews7128  Every industry exploites people especially ones with rough backgrounds. Its called capitalism. Society decided to accept that explotation or pretend it doesnt exist with the exception of porn (which is not a minimum wage job btw). Unfortunately people are still incredibly sexist when it comes to sex and the decisions that women make. To this day it is heavily stigmatised when a woman is promiscuous, a man on the other hand gets applauded.

id: 48478 - Text:  @sydniandrews7128  there is people who got into it simply for the love of sex though too. Its not purely just damaged people

id: 48482 - Text:  @armingleiner5292  Armin is the only person here who has said something reasonable. America's treatment of sex workers is absolutely despicable. They deserve more respect and empathy than your politicians, lobbyists, and armed service members/terrorists

id: 48483 - Text:  @J.S.3259  The worst thing is the hypocrisy. All of these geniuses who are judging sex workers, watch porn themselves on the regular. One look in the mirror hasnt harmed anyone!
