You disappointed me and my good plans for you, so I'm done with you." While I understand Mark no longer being able to help, he took Asriah's setback very personal. He felt used and was also disappointed that she lied to him. That's understandable. But, that's no need to speak to Asriah in the manner that he did. He can still tell her he's not able to help her any longer, but in a much kinder way. The saying about teaching an old dog new tricks is very true. She has lived a whole life full of heartbreak, gang activity and prostitution, and those old ways and habits (and emotional aspects) are always trying to call you back into the shadows. So, her hurt displayed in this video? Well, I believe that she's hurt that even after the wrong she's done, Mark has so easily thrown her away. And even if Mark didn't mean it that emphatically (though it sounds like he did), that's how she seemed to interpret it in her body language and words. She had little to say because she has already been judged. What can she say? People like Asriah have dealt with abandonment issues so deep that you couldn't even begin to imagine it. Do you think she truly wanted to lie and deceive Mark? Not for a second.
While Mark definitely needs to remove himself (because you can get into deep, especially when gang activity is involved), he could've worded things better. He was offended though.
I pray Asriah finds a way to escape that life, as well as the young black gentleman.
