I hope this is a wakeup call for Mark and he realizes that he needs to stick to journalism and the original intent of these videos, and leave the interventions to professionals who understand how best to help. Otherwise it's just false hope for everyone involved.

id: 555896 - Text: This all feels very wrong to me - giving money without any mental health help or supports that would teach her/them how to live any differently. Having some guy/go fund me provide money and basic needs doesn’t automatically give people a different way of being. There should be a therapy component to the financial support, or some accountability - go to therapy, get basic needs met, etc…
Without it this just feels even more like trauma porn. I don’t see how bringing them on to shame them for messing up a golden opportunity is helpful to them. I wonder if the videographer sees himself as some kind of savior. Cutting people off when they fall into systemic traps and their own lack of skills seems quite cruel. They may be worse off than they were originally without this well-intentioned but misguided intervention.
