id: 517128 - Text: This just isn’t the case. How much time have you spent in Thailand? Most Thai trans women are not sex workers. You can see them working regular jobs all over untouristed Thailand. Sex work is lucrative, of course why is why a minority of Thai trans women do it. There are other jobs of course but few as lucrative if you don’t have a degree. It’s not necessarily lonely. Lots of guys are interested in dating Thai trans women. My wife is a Thai trans woman. There is some pulmonary risk with HRT but it’s manageable. There isn’t significant increased cancer risk. Thai trans women are well tolerated in Thai society. If they weren’t you wouldn’t see very many.
