I don’t think the lifestyle she’s used to (especially with gangs involves) allows her to ever appear vulnerable. Even if her head is “held high” I always look at people’s eyes. I think she’s addicted to what she’s used to, which is sad but also we have to understand that that’s the reality for her. This woman’s first video was my introduction to this channel and of all the ones I’ve watched since…I think she is who I wanted to see succeed the most. I want them all to, of course, but if I had to pick one. Kinda just fucked my day up if I’m being honest. One of the things this channel does for me personally is remind me how vulnerable I am in my own recovery. You get complacent when things are going alright and you’re one bad thought and decision away from jumping right back in. This video made me feel bad, but it was also a good reminder. Mark, if you read these comments, maybe take some comfort in that. Things failed with homegirl this time around, but it wasn’t totally in vain. There are plenty of viewers who get the help they didn’t know they needed from these. Hopefully things turn back around with you and her. Lot of people need to fuck up a looooot of times before they finally get it. You can see the shame and guilt on her face. She doesn’t feel good about this. She seemingly wanted to speak, but didn’t feel like she could. I think if she felt like she could, she’d probably break down in tears apologizing. And stop giving people with drug problems cash money. It’s doing more damage than it will ever help. Somebody with a drug problem needs to be clean for awhile before cash in hand isn’t going to just be a complete enabler.

I mean get them a place to live sure and then maybe like 100 or 200 dollar gift cards to grocery stores per week ya know? She know how to live without and not having to worry about shelter or food would make it so much easier to do other things you needed for yourself and kids. Which clearly wasn’t a priority for her. id: 566680 - Text: I disagree with the comments that say it was a cynical manipulation all along. In the last video, Asriah seemed like she genuinely wanted to break free and had made some progress. Knowing the future looked brighter for her and her boys. But now it looks like she was never quite able to break free and her dark past had worked it's way into her life again.
She deserves another chance. Only next time it has to be done properly. Another part of the country entirely, a small town, a job, some study. Maybe then she can finally do it. I hope so.
id: 566681 - Text: There were a couple of incidents in the first video that made this situation very predictable. In one incident, she states that she was once in a relationship where the guy tried to help her and she abused the relationship. In another incident, she became very emotional and stated that she lacked "love" and wished that she would be given a "chance" at a relationship. I think that this second ibcident is what prompted Mark and some of his viewers to help. Unfortunatelly, this incident led into a repeat of the first incident. Very tragic and very predictable.
