Look I'm not accusing Luna of being a whore or a slut. She IS an adult who can make her own choices. But it's fair for people to be aware of the porn industry's dark side. It seeks profit over all else, and it is not equipped to deal with the very REAL problems it creates. Many people will praise Luna for being bold, brave, independent, and whatever. But if Luna ends up dead like August Ames or one of the many hundreds of other young ladies, these same people who encouraged her to go for it will suddenly disappear and not give two shits about her. A good example: There is a prominent pornstar named Jenni Lee who was a porn celeb and getting paid extremely well. She was living the high life. I'm sure many people affirmed her choices and supported her. She now lives in a sewer tunnel under the Los Vegas strip doing drugs and exhibits obvious signs of trauma. This is a possible ending for any porn performer, even Luna. Its tragic really. I hope this broken young lady finds safety and happiness in her life. Unfortunately she is at an extreme risk if she continues in an industry that ultimately cares nothing about her.

Healthy expression of the “shadow” self through sex is more beneficial to society as a whole than suppression, which is what I believe to be a big downside to organized religion.
