But I did have very low self-esteem and I too was a cutter, I stopped hurting myself in 2005 and have never looked back... but with that being said I don't date anymore as well, I have extreme trust issues. I've never been in love nor will I ever... I'm very happy with my life, but my scars mentally and physically are always there. I do have a PTSD psychiatrist and a depression doctor as well. I don't drink or smoke. Things could have been a whole lot worse for me if I had took in the wrong road... God that I was going up to go the other path.. my heart goes out to everyone that has suffered child abuse mentally sexually and emotionally,thank God. bless us all
