Now to explain the drugs, a lot of hobbyist (let's be fair, he's a hobbyist because his taste of women are at a certain quality) are associated with drugs to get in the mood or put their mind in a certain realm. I don't think he's going to drive to an crack alley to pick up a low quality hooker because he's into high dollar escorts (or strippers that escort on the side).
