Obviously attractiveness is subjective, but I've seen a lot of comments on here, and her other videos about how attractive she is and the interviewer even comments on this. Besides all the awful tattoos (quality, not the tattoos themselves) she's moderately attractive, has a nice figure, and seems well spoken enough for someone of her education and lifestyle. So it would make sense that people would be more open to helping her over a less attractive\older version of her with the same exact story. Whether subconsciously or not, this is the way most people operate.
