There was a video posted last year. Another channel host and YouTuber interviewed Mark. It was an amazing interview. You really got to know about the person behind the content of this channel. Long story short, he is in my opinion a wonderful photographer. And in his interview, he mentioned that he was primarily interested in the photography aspect and not so much the interviews. His first interview was purely by incident, and he went on a whim with his idea; referring to the Appalachian Inbred Family that he interviewed- also an intriguing life story to watch.
I guess what I'm saying is that once I saw Mark's interview, I was able to sort of understand his style and the passion he has. And then these interviews began to make more sense to me now. Because before that, I was the same, I felt like the interviews were very cold as you described.
