Several detoxes/treatment centers, transitional living where you can stay for up to 2 years and even a section 8 apartments (the waiting list on that is 5 years) but the 2-year-transitional living for women (project T.O.U.C.H.) is where you are assisted with getting employment and can save your earnings for an apartment since you don’t have to pay rent there. They help you with so much. But you have to work. And fight. That was 10 years ago for me. I am a home owner now and gainfully employed. I am very far from perfect but I still put one foot in front of the other. I believe that when my number is up it’s up, it’s that simple to me. It can even be tomorrow.. all I know is that for the last 10 years I have been trying to correct all of the mistakes I have made in my past and will continue to do that until my own number gets called.
