id: 593132 - Text:  @obi-wankenobi1750  There are many people that are forced into the sex industry.

id: 593144 - Text: I am gonna watch this whole series, first I want to say thank you for talking about brothels, sex work, prostitution. As a full-service sex worker Not at a brothel because most of the United States it is not legal, the wording of unless you’re working in a brothel you’re being trafficked just pushes that stigmatization that all prostitution unless (it’s done in a brothel) is sex trafficking. There is a whole community of consensual sex workers

id: 593147 - Text: Legalize sex work!

id: 593152 - Text: This was eye opening and done so respectfully. This absolutely is a testament as to why sex work needs to be legal federally, to keep everyone safe❤

id: 593178 - Text: Sex work needs to be ILLEGAL EVERYWHERE so these women can be taken out of this degrading way of life and helped in real ways to become productive, normal, healthy human beings. That does NOT include sex work. Sex work is INHERENTLY degrading.

id: 593179 - Text:  @mehitablestorm8877  "Sex work" is "not" ever going to stop.. It's been around forever and it will continue to stay around forever. Not every sexual situation is "degrading" in that "that" type of situation. It can actually be empowering to a woman. If it is consenting between two grown adults and made to be safe then, it should be made, legal. It's only illegal because "the system" makes money from it. I don't stand in any type of judgment. People are in that line of work for all different sorts of reasons. A lot of people just want human interaction and human touch... just because it's with someone who is paid for it, why should that be illegal? It's a service. Everyone who works , works their bodies in some form or another for a paycheck. A boss over someone paying them for their services is also a pimp, just not in a sexual way but look at all of the cases where sexual harassment is rampant in the workplace. Again, just "working your body" in a different way" for hire" No one should tell anybody else what they can and cannot do with their own body. Just because you may not personally agree with it, doesn't mean that someone is degrading themselves. When a woman goes out on a "regular date" with a dude and he pays for dinner and then, he sleeps with her... It's all just another form of payment when you really break it down. It shouldn't be that way but let's be realistic. Making sex work legal like in a brothel where, everyone is checked and rechecked, they have safety precautions in place, women are not out on the streets. Alllllll of that and more only brings a whole other host of serious problems. Saying, it should never be made legal and it's degrading is not, going to stop it from happening. Regulated it.

id: 593180 - Text:  @marleysankor  Oh for God's sake, the nonsense that you pedal. Go back and watch this video and tell honestly how selling yourself to random men and being forced into positions by pimps which won't stop whether it is "legal" or not could possibly be empowering for anybody. It should be illegal because it is inherently and obviously degrading to any human being to do this. It should be illegal because that is the only way we can really help these people to escape sex trafficking, which is what this is virtually all the time. These women and frequently children, live miserable lives , the law helps to protect them from this kind of abuse. I grew up in a very poor area and have seen both brothels and street hookers in my childhood and youth and there is NOTHING empowering about being a whore. Whore is not a compliment in ANY language and people need to be raised above this so they can earn a living in a free, open and honest way without selling their bodies. What you promote is disgusting.

id: 593186 - Text:  @mehitablestorm8877  agree to disagree, sex trafficking needs to be stopped, not sex work at brothels.

id: 593191 - Text: I also think legalization would reduce the stress level in the growing population of sexless men. This could actually help to reduce suicides and possibly even mass shootings and other crimes. According to online stats men are having less sex than ever before while it's just the opposite for women. How can that be? Well due to the Internet and social media now most women no longer want an average man so this means the majority of women share the same top 20% of men. They then wonder why they never get commitment. A man with many options is not going to commit to you. 👌
