I put everything that happened to me in a little imaginary box and stored it far away in my head, only when I had my children (I was very overprotective of them) that box slowly opened, and when my grandchild was born all the memories came back to haunt me, I do realize it’s because I don’t have him under my nose every single minute of the day and I am terrified of friends fathers and strangers. I'm extremely, empathetic about her early life experiences, and can sympathize with her story. However, in a strange way, not her adult choices. I'm trying to reason with the latter, and it takes me to the same place. In her case, and after hearing her story, I feel she needs to abstain from sex, and all relationships, until she learns to love herself. Unfortunately, it's the root of all her pain. I get the feeling that love has never been properly, defined for her. The truth is, God is love. At 35, the only way she is going to shake that debilitating victim mentality, is through the word of God. It is the correct state of mind for healing, and I hope she has people in her life to guide her.
