My videos are highly upsetting to many viewers. Watching them can leave a viewer feeling helpless and confused about what to do and who to blame. A common reaction is to blame whoever is nearby and convenient to blame, in this case a photographer. To blame me for my subject’s predicament is simply your projection, placing blame wherever it’s convenient. If I’m evil for asking an interviewee to put away a Covid mask (after just asking her a minute before) then what about the pimp who’s keeping all her money, the lack of support from her father, Tiffani herself for making poor decisions or the general oppression of African American women in general in parts of our society? It’s all too much to process for many viewers, so they resort to crucifying me for asking her to put away the mask. Come on.
