id: 1347513 - Text:  @Marsh9090  Nah I'm not saying it's her fault. I don't always take society into account when I live my life. A drug dealer didn't hurt anyone cus they didn't point a gun at anyone sounds silly as well right? We can all see the harm drugs do to people, yes it's their fault for shooting heroin up their arm, but isn't it kinda on the dealer too for making it available? Well it's the same with porn and sex work. You just not realizing the harm this kinda stuff may do to people and society at large doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I've been civil in my comments and just explained my thoughts but people keep strawmanning my arguments. I'm not saying she's a villain or whatever and I'm not saying everyone who does watch porn is wrong for doing so. I'm just stating that there's negatives to it as well.

id: 1347515 - Text:  @j.ceasar  This also is such a weak argument totally void of compassion. Obviously, you hopefully know, people don't ruin their lives cus they want to. People get into a position they can't get out without help. Seriously, addiction is a problem, unhealthy standards are a problem, the way some men treat women as sex objects is a problem. These problems can be the result of porn and other overly sexualized content like music videos. Also, good luck avoiding it. If you're weak of will it's not gonna be easy to just stay off of porn sites. This is like blaming an addict for their problems.

id: 1347520 - Text:  @Marsh9090  Yes thats true people have to take responsibility for their actions, I just think that it's really hard to avoid overly sexualized content without going full Amish. Ofcourse we can't protect everyone from all triggers or trauma's, but dialing down the normalization of violence, porn, drug use, binge drinking etc might be a good thing.

id: 1347528 - Text:  @Scradarash  I agree with you. It teaches young people that sex should be impersonal, quick and easy. It feeds into the fetishization of Asian women. It convinces impressionable young girls to sell their own bodies believing their sexuality is the primary determinant of their worth. I predict that eventually, as a result of Onlyfans, there will be fewer and fewer women attending college.

id: 1347529 - Text:  @jmc90213  This channel is focused on men of all races, backgrounds and walks of life---and women who sell their bodies. It conveys the false impression that this is what most women do, or the most interesting ones. I like the rare videos featuring women who do not sell their bodies (like one of a housewife who left her family and started a new one, a successful drug runner, and a school teacher). These were refreshing deviations from the endless parade of female sex workers. You do get more views when your guests "flash" the audience, but it means that you are also profiting off of their bodies.

id: 1347530 - Text:  @j.ceasar  I'm not an addict but I've worked with and known many. All addicts, like people, are different. Some have a disorder, like depression or impulsiveness. Those people often have very little strength in them to voluntarily skip the casino or drugs or sex. These people will never be ABLE to control themselves, like literally never, before going through a long process of getting and staying clean. In these cases, which in the world of addiction are easily over 50% of the total addicted population, are of no blame. While people who sustain their addiction are way more to blame. A drug dealer is very direct, dealers ruin the lives of people while they are looking them in the eyes, while casinos are more indirect and porn is usually very much seperated from the consumer. But they are all the suppliers of things that ruin lives while they simply profit off of it. Its like giving a child junk food and then expecting them to have the will to not use it while their brain is not developed enough to even know the consequences.
