id: 36341 - Text: I usually appreciate the videos on this channel. It’s interesting to see a glimpse of a stranger’s life and all it’s up and downs. So many people with such hard lives.
The way he conducts the interview I find very respectful and he lets the people freely express themselves.
However I feel a bit off in this video. It kind struck me in the wrong way he is saying more than once this girl was “ a lot of guys dream girls”. Seems like he is hitting on her and not really paying attention to her, specially after she is saying she would get satisfaction of all the attention she got for her looks and that she didn’t mind being objectified by men.
I hope she is doing better and that she is able to keep sober to get healthy and happy. Like I hope always to all the interviewees that their lives get better. 😊

It is one thing to compassionately mention "I think you are beautifull" to someone who is portraying low self esteem and perhaps asks you, and another to set it as a video title. Ι will also add : commments like "You' re a lot of guys dream girl" (40:15) (42:53) ......? Why make such a comment to someone who just mentioned a bipolar diagnosis and the tragic results of alcoholism? With all the respect to your work Mark. It is a very thin line and needs extra attention.

It is sad that she has been objectified because of her looks, even in the title of this video, and it has also probably served her well as a survival trait for now. I wish there were mandatory self worth classes, taught either in the home, or in schools starting very young and throughout teenage years, as I think it would be highly beneficial in breaking so many of our trauma cycles.
