Now she is two months pregnant and don't know what to do. I hope the host can intervene and find her a place that takes women off the streets and give them proper health care and a place to safely sleep. I live in Jacksonville Florida and there are several places in the city that will take in pregnant women like Gateway Services and turn their life around. Ten years ago I ran across a 21 year old young lady at a gas station in the city who was really in distress. The temperature was 35 degrees and she had on a little sleeveless mini dress. I told her if she didn't put a coat on that she would end up catching pneumonia. She told me that she was from New Jersey and had asked a trucker could she get a ride to Florida in order to escape her abusive boyfriend who also was a drug dealer. She told me as the trucker crossed the Florida stateline he told her that she had to have sex with him if she wanted to continue riding with him and she refused. She mentioned that the trucker stopped at the gas station where I found her and asked her to go into the store and buy two sodas. While she was in the store the trucker pulled off leaving her strided without her clothes that she had packed and still on the truck. She told me that a couple she met told her that they wanted to help so they took her home and let her sleep on the couch. After a couple of hours on the couch she stated the husband came in the room and wanted her to give him a blowjob and she said no. She said he got mad and when his wife heard the argument she came into the room and they eventually put her out of the house after the husband lied. So she ended up back at that same gas station where I met her. I told her to get into my vehicle where it was warm and asked her where she needed to go. That is when she told me the entire story. I told her that I was a Christian bother and that I would do all I could to help her. My first stop was to get her something to eat because I found out that she was six months pregnant and had been using drugs on a regular basis. I then took her to a Hampton Inn and paid for one night so she could get some rest and simply relax while i returned home to my family. Instead of going to church the next morning I returned to her room and spent four hours contacting numerous shelters throughout the city but all of them were full. I finally was able to reach a shelter/drug rehab center and after I told them about the young lady being on drugs and six months pregnant they agreed to take her in after I explained what she had went through. She kept thanking me and telling me what a good person I was but I told her that she needed to thank God who sent me to rescue her. The rehab center was successful in getting her off drugs and she eventually had a healthy baby girl. What is even better was she met a young man who was also going through rehab and they eventually got married and are doing great living in their own home. That is why I always say, "Put your trust in God and not in man". On that particular day God used me as a vessel to rescue this young lady and I am glad he did.
